TERMS OF SERVICE
Version date: 30 August 2026. Effective upon publication. These Terms cover the MJP website and Own Your Interview only; other offers require their own service terms.
1 ABOUT MJP AND THIS AGREEMENT
MJP EMPOWERMENT COACHING LLC, an Ohio limited liability company ("MJP," "we," "us"), provides Own Your Interview coaching. Contact us at trent@mjpempowermentcoaching.com.
Before payment, review these terms, the Privacy Policy, and the written description of your selected package. The agreed package description identifies the services you are purchasing. Any additional work or change in scope must be agreed in writing before it is charged or performed. Own Your Interview is offered at launch only to clients who are at least 18 years old and located in the United States. These terms do not limit rights that applicable law does not permit us to waive.

Any applicable taxes or additional charges must be disclosed before payment. Additional services are not included unless expressly stated in the agreed package scope.
3 YOUR PREPARATION AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide a current résumé, the complete job posting or description, interview details and requested intake materials. Tell MJP promptly about changes to the employer, role, interview date or format. Preparation depends on accurate, complete information and the time available. Submit only material you have permission to share; remove unnecessary sensitive information and confidential employer, patient or customer data. Executive clients must submit a brief interview recap before the included post-interview review; this recap is collected after the employer interview, not as an initial intake requirement.
You remain responsible for truthful statements to employers and for your career decisions. MJP will not fabricate qualifications, accomplishments or employment history. Coaching does not guarantee an interview, advancement, a job offer, promotion, compensation or any other employment result.
4 CLIENT CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS
A 24-hour full-refund hold begins at the time of purchase. MJP performs no résumé, job-posting or intake review, research, customized preparation, or coaching during that period. A written cancellation received within the first 24 hours receives a 100% refund. After the hold closes, the following schedule applies, subject to applicable law and the MJP non-delivery exception below. The retained percentage is calculated from the package fee paid and is not an additional cancellation charge.

Send written cancellation and rescheduling requests to trent@mjpempowermentcoaching.com. MJP will use the purchase timestamp, request timestamp and documented service stage to determine the applicable refund. This schedule does not remove any refund entitlement required by law.
5 RESCHEDULING AND MISSED SESSIONS
One reschedule without penalty is available with at least 36 hours’ notice, subject to MJP availability and your interview timeline. A cancellation or rescheduling request with less than 36 hours’ notice, or a missed session, counts as a used session. MJP may make an exception for documented exceptional circumstances. Any replacement session and its price must be agreed separately; no unspecified replacement fee is imposed by these terms.
6 EMPLOYER CHANGES AND MJP NON-DELIVERY
Hiring outcomes and employer-driven process changes. MJP does not control or guarantee an employer’s hiring timeline, progression, compensation decision, offer, or outcome. An employer-driven end means an employer action reasonably ends or prevents continued consideration, including, without limitation, not advancing the client; selecting another candidate; making no offer; cancelling, closing, freezing, materially changing, or indefinitely postponing the role; or withdrawing an interview or offer before acceptance.
Transfer of unused services. When an employer-driven end occurs before all purchased services have been used, the client may request one transfer of the remaining unused services to one replacement opportunity. The client must notify MJP in writing and identify that opportunity within 30 days after MJP receives notice. Completed work does not restart, become refundable, or return to the package balance. A transfer does not reserve capacity and remains subject to MJP availability.
Progression and additional opportunities. Advancing to another round with the same employer and role is not a transfer; remaining services may support later rounds. If a different opportunity arises while the engagement is active, MJP may adapt remaining unused services where reasonably possible, but completed work is not repeated. A materially different role requiring substantial new résumé work, research, or preparation may require an add-on or new package approved before MJP charges or begins that work.
Client-driven decisions. A client-driven decision does not activate the transfer benefit. Examples include, but are not limited to, withdrawing; declining an interview or offer; accepting another opportunity; failing to participate, respond, schedule, or meet program requirements; or an employer rejecting client-initiated compensation demands or counteroffers. MJP will apply this rule reasonably based on the primary cause.
If MJP cannot deliver. MJP will first seek a reasonable reschedule, then an equivalent service or credit only if you agree. If those options do not resolve the issue, MJP will refund the undelivered portion. If MJP cannot deliver before Session 1 and no customized work has begun, the refund is 100%. This exception concerns MJP’s inability to provide the service, not an employer or client changing plans.
7 SERVICE WINDOW AND SUPPORT
Any package-specific service or support window begins as stated in the agreed package description. For the Executive package, the 30-day support window begins once payment and all required intake materials have been received. MJP may approve a limited extension for a documented employer-caused delay; no extension restarts the window or adds services. Remaining sessions may support later rounds or an approved transfer, subject to availability. MJP’s email-response standard is within 48 hours, not unlimited or on-demand access.
8 TECHNOLOGY, AI ASSISTANCE AND RECORDING
MJP uses third-party tools to support website hosting, forms, payments, scheduling, communications, document storage, and permitted AI assistance. The current launch workflow uses Squarespace, Jotform, Stripe, Cal.com, Google Drive, email services, and ChatGPT. Simply.Coach and Circle are not confirmed Own Your Interview providers at launch. If MJP later adds a coaching, community, or AI platform that materially changes how client information is processed, MJP will review the provider and update applicable notices before use.
Coaching sessions are not currently recorded. If recording or automated transcription is introduced, MJP will explain the purpose, provider, access and retention arrangements and obtain prior consent from all participants. A non-recorded workflow will remain available if consent is declined. Recording consent will not automatically authorize marketing, testimonials or public use.
The Privacy Policy describes information processing and contact options. MJP keeps original client records in its approved intake and storage systems and limits AI inputs to information reasonably necessary for the coaching task. Direct identifiers are removed where practical, especially when a general-purpose account may be accessible to more than one authorized MJP team member. MJP does not represent that third-party vendors never retain information or use it to improve their services; provider terms, account settings, and safeguards are reviewed before identifiable client information is submitted.
9 MATERIALS, MARKETING, PUBLICITY AND CHANGES
You retain your rights in your résumé, personal information, and other materials you provide. MJP retains all rights in its original frameworks, templates, scorecards, strategy methods, question sets, coaching processes, and other proprietary materials. MJP grants you a limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable license to use your individualized deliverables and included MJP materials for your own career development and interview preparation, including sharing your résumé and individualized application materials with prospective employers and recruiters. You may not resell, publish, distribute, reproduce for others, or use MJP materials to provide a competing commercial service.
Service communications and marketing. MJP may send receipts, intake requests, scheduling notices, coaching follow-ups, and other communications needed to administer or deliver the purchased service. These are separate from promotional communications. Purchasing a service does not automatically enroll a client in marketing. MJP sends promotional email only under its affirmative opt-in policy, includes a working unsubscribe method and valid postal address, and honors opt-outs as required by law. Opting out does not prevent necessary service messages or require deletion of transaction, tax, legal, or dispute records. Analytics may be used as disclosed in the Privacy Policy; advertising pixels, remarketing, or behavioral tracking require applicable notice and consent controls before activation.
MJP will not use your name, identifiable story, testimonial, image or recording for a case study or marketing without your explicit permission. Future updates will show a revised effective date. Changes to a paid engagement’s agreed price or scope require agreement; a website update alone does not retroactively rewrite the engagement.
10 OHIO LAW AND INFORMAL RESOLUTION
These Terms and the services provided by MJP are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law provides the client with consumer rights that cannot be waived. Before initiating a formal claim, the client and MJP agree to make a good-faith effort to resolve the matter informally. Nothing in these Terms limits or waives any right or remedy that cannot legally be limited or waived.
